QUOTES
“Universal and true in this well-observed, fiercely female-centred coming-of-age drama... truly growls in its depiction of the brutal nature of girl friendship and the shock of the menstrual metamorphosis...”
— ScreenDaily
“A well-made, eminently watchable illustration of the “monster” that so many young girls are told to see themselves as...”
— IndieWire
“Cheekily subversive and vibrantly colorful first feature... a genre-bending tale that “celebrates the people who don’t fit in”...”
— The Hollywood Reporter
“Arresting images and bright performances in this bristling debut feature...”
— The Guardian
“An insolent and vibrant first feature film... an audacious parable rivalling the scale of Muslim Asia that gets straight to the heart of female intimacy, amidst blood and water, normality and irrationality, friendship and jealousy...”
